Thomas Shemwell makes the 39th member of our 20-100 vision. Thomas, thank you for joining the group; this group provides financial support to the ongoing house renovations, providing support for our scholarship fund and other financial needs to simply run the business of our chapter and alumni foundation.
It is exciting to announce the addition of six new members for to the 20100 Vision campaign. Thank you Brothers: Bryan Watts, Billy King, Steve English, Joe Fullerton, David "Bubba" Shemwell, and Robert Scott. The 20100 Vision is a program where one hundred Kappa Kappa Brothers are willing to participate in donating $20 each month for the betterment of the fraternity.
Funds are being used for ongoing house renovations, providing support for our scholarship fund and other financial needs to simply run the business of our chapter and alumni foundation. Brothers In Action (BIA) is a character and competence based program designed to teach fraternal values applicable to academic, chapter, and career goals through experiential learning and chapter-supported programming. BIA provides a blueprint for chapters to follow as they provide personal development programming for members. Chapters provide education about chapter operations, workshops and activities that develop essential career skills, and brotherhood activities focusing on deepening the bonds between our members.
Beginning with the Brothers In Action for Pledges program, Kappa Sigma provides opportunities for personal growth and development that guides members not only during their college careers, but throughout life.
The 20100 vision is now at 31 members, thank you Mike Radney for your support. If you are not familiar with the program, here are some details. We are hoping one hundred Kappa Kappa Brothers are willing to participate in this effort. The 2016 Kappa Sigma Leadership Conference will be the largest in Kappa Sigma history! Since our inaugural leadership conference, Kappa Sigma Brothers from around the world have gathered together to push Kappa Sigma to the next level. From learning how to become better leaders to learning how to properly run a chapter meeting, there is something for ever Kappa Sigma Brother at the 2016 Kappa Sigma Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL.
The Kappa-Kappa Chapter of Kappa Sigma is receiving applications for the Harper Scholarship. Interested applicants should apply for scholarship from the John Harper Scholarship Fund using the application provided on this on this page. The scholarship is limited to members in good standing of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity enrolled at Georgia Southwestern State full time. Applications should be received by June 24. Please mail the form and a copy of your transcript to Donny Wall, 200 Longmead Drive, Fayetteville, Ga. 30215 or email the form and transcript to DonnyWall@billbrownsales.com. The scholarship will be awarded based on various criteria including academic performance, serving in leadership positions in the chapter, national participation, IFC involvement, community service, athletics, and campus leadership participation. We appreciate the support of the alumni in investing in our undergraduate scholarship fund.
